Crawl 2 (2025)

Two years after surviving the terrifying hurricane and the killer alligators of Florida, Haley Keller thought the worst was behind her. She was wrong.

Now a competitive swimmer turned rescue diver, Haley has moved to New Orleans, dedicating her life to helping flood victims and rebuilding her own sense of purpose. Still haunted by the events in her hometown of Coral Lake, she refuses to return to Florida and avoids deep waters whenever possible—until a desperate call changes everything.

When a Category 5 hurricane named Hurricane Vega slams into the Gulf Coast, large portions of southern Louisiana are flooded beyond recognition. Entire neighborhoods are submerged, including a forgotten military facility hidden in the bayou.

Haley is called in by her former swim coach and now FEMA coordinator, David Langston (Mahershala Ali), to assist with a classified emergency: a group of environmental scientists went missing during a field study near a restricted flood zone. Satellite scans reveal disturbing heat signatures in the water—unnaturally large ones.

Reluctantly, Haley agrees. But as her rescue team—joined by an ex-Marine diver Ray Keller (Thomas Jane), who turns out to be her estranged father—descends into the swamp, they discover that history is repeating itself. And it’s much, much worse.

Inside the flooded ruins of the abandoned facility, the team finds clues pointing to a horrifying reality: the government had secretly been experimenting with predator DNA—modifying alligators to survive deepwater combat conditions during wartime.

The storm has now unleashed these genetically altered super-gators into the bayou. Larger. Faster. Smarter. And they’ve bred.

As night falls, the group becomes trapped in a submerged network of tunnels and research chambers. The alligators begin to hunt them—silently, patiently, with eerie coordination. One by one, team members are picked off, dragged into bloodied water and vanishing beneath the murky depths.

Haley, Ray, and Langston are forced to navigate collapsing structures, oxygen-depleted rooms, and their own strained relationships as they try to survive. Haley's trauma resurfaces—alongside her relentless fight to stay alive.

As the storm intensifies, flooding threatens to pull the entire base into a sinkhole. Haley and Ray discover the main breeding nest in an old reactor shaft, guarded by a monstrous apex gator—a mutated matriarch with bioluminescent eyes and armor-like scales.

They set a plan: destroy the nest and collapse the tunnel to prevent the creatures from reaching populated areas. But it means one of them might not make it out alive.

In an emotional climax, Ray sacrifices himself to detonate the explosives while Haley escapes with Langston. The base erupts, sending waves through the swamp—and killing the apex predator.

Weeks later, Haley is seen standing at the edge of a peaceful river. She’s scarred but stronger, finally at peace with her past. Just as she turns to leave, bubbles rise in the distance. Something moves below the surface… and disappears.

Cut to black.
