After the intense success of its previous two seasons, Reacher is back — and the Season 3 teaser promises even more bone-crunching action, clever investigation, and small-town conspiracies. Amazon Prime Video dropped the highly anticipated teaser during the 2025 summer preview slate, and fans of Lee Child’s stoic drifter have reason to be excited.
Set to a gritty cover of Johnny Cash’s “God’s Gonna Cut You Down,” the teaser gives us glimpses of Jack Reacher (Alan Ritchson) walking into another dusty town with secrets, corruption, and bodies piling up.
While not much of the plot is revealed, a voiceover hints at an “operation gone wrong”, possibly involving Reacher’s old military past. We see quick shots of:

The show continues to use lean, grounded cinematography, focusing on brutal hand-to-hand combat, hard stares, and tense silences over flashy effects. Fans who love Reacher’s minimalist, no-nonsense style will feel right at home.
While not officially confirmed, hints in the teaser suggest that Season 3 might draw from "Persuader" or "The Enemy", two of Lee Child’s most intense and personal novels.
Clues like an elite task force gone rogue, and a woman with military ties, line up well with either novel’s plot threads. If so, we may be in for Reacher going undercover or revisiting deep military secrets.
Even in the short teaser, Alan Ritchson commands attention. With his imposing physical presence and calm intensity, Ritchson has proven he’s the definitive on-screen Reacher. Unlike the Tom Cruise versions, his Reacher is brutal, quiet, and smart — exactly like the books.
