SYNOPSIS

After barely surviving his last mission in Austria, elite mercenary Tyler Rake is pulled back into the shadows—this time to extract a target more personal than ever. In a mission that spans across Colombia, Venezuela, and the treacherous jungles of the Amazon, Rake must confront his past, his failures, and a brutal enemy who knows his every move.

Following the chaotic events in "Extraction 2", Tyler Rake (Chris Hemsworth) has been living off the grid in Patagonia, trying to rebuild his broken body and mind. Haunted by the loss of friends, innocents, and the weight of a life soaked in blood, he finds peace only in isolation.

That peace is shattered when Nik Khan (Golshifteh Farahani) and Alcott (Idris Elba) track him down with a desperate plea: a covert U.S. diplomat's teenage daughter, Rosa Aguilar, has been kidnapped by a violent drug militia while visiting rural Venezuela. The region is a no-go zone—run by the ruthless Colonel Diego Morales, a former Venezuelan intelligence officer turned narco-warlord.

But this time, it’s personal. Morales was once involved in a failed extraction mission from Rake’s past—one that cost the lives of his former team, including his best friend, Logan. Rosa is Logan’s daughter.

With the memory of Logan weighing on his shoulders, Rake agrees to the mission—but with one condition: no backup. No helicopters. No footprints.

Tyler is smuggled into the Venezuelan border under the cover of night. What awaits him is a maze of rainforest, paramilitary camps, and a surveillance network far beyond what he expected. Morales has transformed the jungle into a fortress—laced with mines, motion sensors, and mercenaries.

Rake quickly discovers that Rosa is being held at an illegal gold mining camp deep in the jungle. She’s being used as leverage—an insurance policy against U.S. interference. He infiltrates the camp alone in a thunderstorm, disabling power, disabling guards, and finally reaching Rosa.

But the extraction fails. Morales anticipated Rake’s arrival. He sets off a trap, blowing up the escape route and forcing Rake and Rosa to flee into the jungle—alone, wounded, and hunted.

A tense survival sequence follows. Rake teaches Rosa how to stay silent, navigate terrain, and use the jungle as camouflage. She’s not helpless—she’s brave and quick-witted, much like her father.

Over radio, Morales taunts Rake with the voice recordings of his last failed mission, reminding him of his guilt, his losses, and claiming that “this jungle will bury your legacy.”

The final act takes place along the Orinoco River, where Rake and Rosa are forced to board a smuggler’s barge to cross into Colombia. But Morales arrives ahead of them, capturing Rosa once more and chaining her inside a sinking gunboat bound for a secret narco compound.

In a visceral and emotional climax, Rake storms the compound alone—armed with nothing but a combat knife, reclaimed explosives, and his relentless resolve. The final fight is brutal: hand-to-hand combat in flooded corridors, explosions ripping through jungle shacks, and the sound of gunfire echoing through the trees.

Rake confronts Morales in a face-off beneath a collapsing gold mine. With bloodied fists and fire in their eyes, they battle like warriors from another age. Rake, fueled by the ghost of Logan and his bond with Rosa, finally defeats Morales—leaving him buried beneath the very greed he built his empire upon.

Tyler delivers Rosa safely to the Colombian border, collapsing from exhaustion and wounds. Before parting, Rosa gives him a dog tag—her father’s. “He said you were the only man he trusted.”

Weeks later, we see Rake standing over Logan’s unmarked grave in Virginia. He places the tag, lights a cigarette, and finally breathes—free of ghosts, if only for a moment.

Nik calls. “There’s another job.”

He looks up. Smiles.

“Just tell me where.”

  • One-shot Jungle Combat Scene: A 15-minute single-take action sequence where Rake disables a convoy with improvised weapons and no gunfire—only stealth and nature.

  • Emotional Stakes: Unlike the previous missions, this is Rake’s redemption arc. He’s no longer running from his past—he’s facing it.

  •

“He’s lost everything. But not the will to save one more life.”
